Steph Thompson lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn with her husband and two boys.

A long-time marketing reporter (IEG Sponsorship Report, Brandweek, Advertising Age), Ms. Thompson went freelance in 2008. Since then, she has written for various publications including Babble.com, Spirit of Women, aWantedmag.com and The New York Post. She now writes a bi-weekly column, Fearless Parenting, for The Brooklyn Paper and blogs about her efforts trying to reward people who try with glittery gold stars (goldstar4trying.com).

Ms. Thompson has appeared on The Food Network, NPR, CNN and Fox & Friends.

She likes cooking (when it’s not just the same old thing her kids will eat), playing the piano with her eyes closed and introducing her sons to her favorite music, movies and books– when they will tolerate it.

Ms. Thompson is working on her first book.
